A day for students and teenagers (18 plus) at last! The day will include:

Student life can be both exhilarating and challenging. We want to help you with managing independent living, late nights, course work and a tight budget. This will be a fun interactive day for students (and university leavers) with top tips for a healthier way of living in Student Halls and self-catering accommodation. We will start the day with tea/coffee and introductions followed by an easy yoga and meditation session.

Our guest speaker, Flavia Dalzell Payne, will show us how to improve our mental outlook in life and how to turn around the negative thought process with a positive attitude and mental clarity. Flavia is a certified facilitator of a youth empowerment programme, “Infinite Possibilities”, designed to empower youth by developing their inner resilience to enable them to thrive — whatever life brings. Learn how your mindset shapes your life and how to accomplish anything you put your mind to. Learn the foundations of mental wellbeing and how to use the resources within you to be at your best more often with less worry, fear and stress.

We will discuss nutrition for a healthy GUT and have a juicing session which will include recipes to take home. Alicky will introduce you to chi gung and teach the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT / tapping) which is a fantastic tool to use for fears, phobia, anxiety and emotional upset, plus it is fabulous to help with concentration and exam panics! Please wear relaxed loose clothing, and bring a note pad and pen, plus an open mind.

Ideas and Tools from Therapy that Support our Well-Being

Sunday 3rd December - Upton Noble Village Hall BA4 6AU.

‘Parity of Esteem’ is the principle by which mental health must be given equal priority to physical health. It was written in law by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. Whilst mental illness has gained much wider coverage in the media and in public discussion, true equality in terms of understanding and resourcing mental health has a long way to go.
